Simon Teacher Says

So we walk into Mr. Garcia's classroom, and he says, Okay. Let's begin with this: Kylee, you KNOW how I feel about you. You're awesome, girl. I have never trusted a student with as much of my personal stuff as I trust you with. Mom, she's a GREAT kid, wonderful student, and has a heart of gold. I love her! Now....all that being said, I'm worried about math.
Kylee has a 2 in math. Kylee has never had a 2 in her entire life...ever! Bless her heart, it just doesn't CLICK for her. She does well on her homework, when she can look it up and spend as much time has as she needs on it, she can eventually get it. But when she tests or goes back to something they didn't JUST learn, she loses it. It doesn't click.
He's an amazing teacher, though! He has offered all kinds of help, even given Kylee his PERSONAL email he receives on his phone so he can help her when she needs it. He also gave Mom some resources, since I totally can't even help her, to help. He went on and on about how he knows she's going to be fine and we are going to fix this. He knows her so well, he even told her that if she doesn't understand something, to email him and go on. He told her he didn't want her worried about it or losing sleep over it. He knows her so well.

Now moving on to Blaine. His grades are really good. He is doing so well academically. He just won't hush. (Can't IMAGINE where he gets that) She is not even worried about that. She said they ALL do it, and to Blaine's credit, he can talk AND work. It's just that his classmates can't. He's beginning to write sentences and read some. It's really exciting. But even if the teacher isn't concerened with his motor mouth, his mother still is.
