Hawaii - Exploring Day 2

Sunday morning, after a little time around the house, while Dad Dad, Mom Mom and Kyle went to Costco for our week's worth of groceries, Myra and Andrea took a six mile run (I thought this was vacation),
and the kids played in the pool. After we were all settled in at the house and the fridge and pantry were fully stocked, we headed out to see the island. We didn't really have plans for this day, so we just decided to head out and see what we found. We came across our first, and my favorite, scenic overlook. As much as I love hanging out on sandy beaches with the blue waters and calming waters, I love love love rocky shores with crashing waves. Maybe it's a throw back to Maine being one of my favorite vacations ever. We first stopped at a beach where the surf was way too strong for the kiddos, so we headed down the shore a little more and found the perfect beach for wave crashing, boogie boarding, and beautiful pictures. Although it seems like a short day, it really wasn't. We are all still a bit jet lagged, not yet on island time, and had been up since very early, so we headed back to the house for some supper, more swimming, and some rest for our next big adventure on day 3.
