NYC Adventure - Day 1

We left El Paso Friday morning, headed for our adventures in New York City. All three of my children were fully loaded with electronicsto get us through the long journey. We flew to Austin where we had a three-hour layover before we moved on. Blaine quickly discovered the joys of people watching, while Kylee continued her love of movie watching. After our jaunt from Austin to Chicago, where we did not get off the plane, the pilot entertained the kids with a trip to the cockpit. To pass the time, we got a little silly, but soon caught our first glimpse of the Big Apple.

My original plan was to head to the hotel for some sleep before we started our sight-seeing the next morning. After all, we had been on the plane for almost 11 hours, and it was midnight in New York. The kids were too excited and had other plans. After checking in to the Sheraton Towers in Time Square, the kids and Joey wanted to get a little taste. By the crowds and the lightsand the noise, you would have never known it was after midnight in NYC! But Mom's bones were feeling it, so after our short excursion, we headed back to the roomfor some rest, realizing now more than ever we had a lot to see!
