Band Finale

Last Thursday night was Kylee's band finale. And when I say finale, I mean finale. It's over, the end, no mas. She has decided not to do band next year. Although she was invited to do Honor Band and originally accepted, she just did not want to play again. After some careful thought and tears, of course, she decided she just really wanted to try art. And since after this concert, they don't bring their instruments to school anymore, this was where the credits would roll for Taliyea.


She received the Band Spirit Award, which basically just means she tries hard, plays well, and is a joy to have in class.

Blaine enjoyed the band concert, too! Not only did he get to go hang out with Diddy and her band friends before the concert started, one of his friends was also there that he sat with way at the top of the gym bleachers during the concert.He even asked for his own picture with her!

For Taliyea's grand finale, they played three songs.

I'm so proud of her for giving band a try, even though it was not her first choice.

When the concert was over, we rushed her off to yet another dance practice for her annual Memorial Day dance recital. More to come on that!
