Destination Disney - Magic Kingdom

Put on your seatbelts. It was a long day! We were there from 9 A.M. TO 12:00 A.M.!! That's right, 15 hours in one day in one park. That long day is going to equal a long post. Here we go! Walking into the Magic Kingdom really is magical. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this castle. I mean, I've taken basically the same picture three times, in 2002, 2006, and 2010. And evidentally, these girls will never get tired of these kid-sized sinks..... so they've just passed it down to a new generation.

While Michael and Courtney split from us to go do their own "teenage" thing, we took the smaller kids to do their thing. We did Pooh, and Peter Pan, and Mom Mom's favoriteIt's a Small World.

After Blaine checked the map, the girls led us over to the Jungle Cruise and then lunch.

After lunch, it was back to the grind...hurry up, wait, ride, hurry up, wait ride. Courtney and Michael joined us for the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Pirates of the Carribean.

***I must now interrupt the tour for humor.***

As with most Disney rides, when you exit Pirates of the Carribean, you enter a store. The girls were immediately drawn to the treasure chest of jewels. The idea was to fill these little bags with the gems and then buy them based on weight. McKenzie just started filling her pockets. When it was time to go, her Daddy noticed her bulging shorts. He said, "McKenzie, put them back. You have to buy those. They aren't free." She rolled her eyes and began putting them away. As I started to walk off, I heard Kyle say, "All of them, McKenzie!" In all her innocence she says, "I not got no more." Kyle says, "All of them, McKenzie Jean!" Again, the eye roll. Again, the emptying of her pockets. I chuckle and start to walk away. But these Dads are such a pain. Again I hear, "McKenzie Jean!" This time, a little less innocently and a little more forcefully, she replies, "I NOT GOT NO MORE!" The Daddy look.Another eye roll, and she pulls out one last HUGE "diamond".

***Now, after putting yourselves back in your chairs, back to our regularly scheduled tour.***

We're now off to meet the king and queen of Disney at Minnie and Mickey's houses Then we rode Goofy's Barnstormer roller coaster to kill some time while the little girls went to meet the princesses.

We pulled Michael and Courtney back in and headed over to Splash Mountain and have a few laughs with Monsters Inc. It was then time to stake out a place to watch the parade.

That's 15 hours, you say? Well, almost. You see, in between rides, there was cooling off , protecting the girls from lizards and other beasts , playing , and grinning ...and we're not done yet.

We staked out our parade-watching spot and had supperwhile Dad Dad practiced for the parade. And then it cameand then the fireworks.

And then I thought we were going home. I was wrong.

Then it was Buzz Lightyear

Then home?? Nope.

Then we went to Space Mountain.

And then home? Yes! Hallelujuah!!!

Our parting shot? Everybody wishing they could be this baby!

The kids' favorite parts of Magic Kingdom? Kylee's was Big Thunder Mountain. Blaine's was Splash Mountain. Mine? Tinkerbelle flies with fireworks

Now I'm tired...not as tired as the day itself, but tired nonetheless. Day 4 to come, but not today. Stay tuned.....
