Destination Disney - Hollywood Studios

After our "rest" day, it was time to hit the parks again. Day 5, Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Brodie woke up with matted eyes and a fever, so he and Andrea decided to stay at the house. Kellie was not feeling well either, but she rallied and headed out with her twinkies, fruits of our shopping labors, and we headed to Hollywood Studios.

While the "big kids" went straight to Aerosmith's Rockin Roller Coaster, the rest of us took the not-tall-enough-to-ride kiddos to Beauty and the Beast Kyle ended up bringing Kellie back over to us because she still just didn't feel good. After Belle finished her show, we met up with the others. The roller coaster had broken down right AFTER they took off. They turned on all the lights, and Joey took pictures. After being reprimaded and asked to put his phone away, they were escorted out and given fast passes to ride again later.

We all walked over to "Hollywood Boulevard" to ride the Great Movie Ride. As we walked out of the ride, the High School Musical 3 dancers walked right past us, so we went to watch that show. Gavin even got picked to dance with them!

While we were doing that, the big boys went to get us Fastpasses for Tower of Terror. I could tell Kellie just wasn't her regular self. She's such a funny kid, and she was pretty lifeless and quiet. We walked on over to Narnia and were waiting for the boys when the poor thing just started throwing up everywhere. (No, I didn't take a picture. Aren't you proud?) Kyle and Myra decided to take her home.

At the same time they left, Uncle Curtis and Kassie showed up to spend a couple of days with us.

***Side note*** For those of you who don't know, Uncle Curtis is Joey's best friend from high school. They grew up together, and they were more like brothers than friends. Because Curtis and his wife, Kim, are both only children, Kassie has no cousins, and they have no nieces and nephews. Only they do. My kiddos. They adore them, and Kassie adores Uncle Joey and her cousins. Evidentally, all my other neices and nephews do, too. THey were ALL calling him Uncle Curtis, and Kassie fit right in with the rest of the kiddos. ***

After we ate lunch, we went and saw the stunt show, , which was really cool. While in the stadium, we got a text from Myra that Kellie had tested positive for strep. I knew there was something wrong with that poor girl! Thank God for the clinic at Walgreens. We would make two MORE visits there before the end of the week!

We had gotten Fastpasses for the new Toy Story 3 ride the first thing that morning, and it was finally time to go check that out. It was the first 3D RIDE any of us had been on, and it was really cool.

Then it was time for the Tower of Terror.Blaine wasn't real sure about it, but afterwards, he wanted to do it again...and did.

After a short little shower, it was time to head back to the roller coaster. We decided since we'd done everything we really wanted to do at this park, we'd call it a day. On the way out, HSM was dancing again, so Courtney and I pulled our silliness. We decided to take the HSM jumping picture. Joey tried several times to take it, and we were laughing so hard at his attempts. Then a "cast member" came out of one of the stores and was telling him how to do it. Joey just handed him the camera. He did it!It may be my favorite of the 650 pictures we took!

Kylee's favorite part of the day was taking that picture over and over. LOL! Blaine's was the Toy Story and Uncle Curtis. Mine was when we got home, Kylee went in Kellie's room..but not in her bed...to keep her company. I went in there to check on them both, and Kellie said, "Now that girl is good medicine!"
