McKenzie's birthday party is this weekend, but because Blaine broke his collar bone, we didn't go. I figured he couldn't do ANYTHING there. He couldn't ride the buggy with Michael. He couldn't slide down the water slide. He couldn't fish. And he couldn't hit the pinata. Kylee, on the other hand could do it all, so she went with Mom Mom and Dad Dad. She has been as big a trooper as Blaine through this whole experience. It's obviously been pretty much about Blaine this week, but she is only worried about him. She texted me while we were at the ER. She offered to carry his bags to school, and she even texted me after I dropped him off to see how he did getting out of the car. She makes a Mama proud!
While we totally miss her while she's gone, she's obviously not missing us quite as much. These are just some of the texts I've gotten in the 24 hours she's been gone.

but I'm so glad she's having a great time. And I know with the two she's with, it's probably a lot about her there!Our other minus one? The Rangers are missing Blaine. When we first got to the game today
(ok, ok, and before!) I was a little worried about how he would feel about it all. But again, he stepped up to the plate, although not literally, and was such a good sport. He got the team in their batting line up
, and although he didn't play, he was still very much a part of that team!
By the time we left the ball game, though, he had done a little too much, and it hurt even to walk. Have no fear! Papa is here!
